New service: GetFTR Browser Extension
GetFTR is delighted to share news of a planned new service, freely available to researchers, which will help them get faster access to content they are entitled to read (either via their institutional subscription or because the content is open access) when using Google Scholar, PubMed or Web of Science.
We often hear from our publishing partners that integration with these major discovery services is something they would welcome. Therefore, we have developed a browser extension which will help researchers discover and access content via GetFTR links when they use these services.
The GetFTR indicator will point out where full text is available, making the most of institution subscriptions and providing researchers with direct access to the most up-to-date version of content.
The GetFTR Chrome browser extension is now available on the Chrome store and we would like to invite librarians and researchers to try it out. We are keen for as many people as possible to try out the beta and the more feedback we get, the better service will be.
