Browser Extension Update: Full Text Links and Retraction & Errata Information Added to all Websites
GetFTR has extended support to all websites via its Browser Extension, enabling researchers to identify full text that has been made available to them via institution subscriptions or open access no matter where they are on the web.
A smaller button with GetFTR indicator will be added to any DOI displayed on any page or found in a URL, indicating full text is available and taking researchers directly to the content. Additionally, researchers will benefit from retraction and errata information at the point of discovery, as shown in Wikipedia below:
Dianne Benham, Product Director for GetFTR, urged publishers and librarians to promote the GetFTR Browser Extension to researchers so that they can take advantage of this feature.
“Helping researchers easily access the latest version of content is key to our mission. This feature extends GetFTR’s reach to all websites, enabling researchers to identify if content has been made available, corrected or retracted at the point of discovery. We hope this will vastly improve the customer experience, elevate the value of our publisher’s offerings, and contribute to Research Integrity”.
Please install the GetFTR Browser extension to benefit from this new feature. It’s already available to researchers who have the extension installed.
